HOW THE SHIP-TO PROGRAM WORKS

Four Steps. Your Part Comes Back Clean.

1

Send Us Photos

Before you ship anything, send us photos of what needs cleaning. Tell us the material, the contamination, and what the part needs to be ready for when it comes back. We will tell you whether laser cleaning is the right method and what the job involves. No guessing. No surprises after the box arrives.

2

Pack and Ship

Once we confirm the scope, you pack and ship the item to our facility in Neosho, Missouri. We provide packing guidance based on the item type. Flat rate boxes work for most small to mid-size parts. Heavier or oversized items may need a freight option, and we will walk you through it.

3

We Clean It

When your item arrives, we photograph it, confirm condition, and begin cleaning. The fiber laser removes the contamination progressively down to bare material while an integrated fume extraction system captures the vaporized material. We test parameters on a small area first to confirm settings for your specific material and contamination type.

4

We Ship It Back

After cleaning, we photograph the result, apply any protective treatment appropriate to the material, pack the item securely, and ship it back to you.

The ship-to laser cleaning program lets you send metal parts and components from anywhere in the United States to Pristine Laser Restoration for professional cleaning and restoration. Start by sending photos and a description of the item. We confirm whether laser cleaning is the right method and provide a quote. You pack and ship the item to our facility in Neosho, Missouri. When it arrives, we photograph the item, confirm its condition, and clean it using a fiber laser with integrated fume extraction. The laser removes rust, paint, carbon, grease, and surface contamination without chemicals or abrasives. The process is non-contact, meaning the base material is not ground, scratched, or chemically altered during cleaning. After cleaning, we apply appropriate protective treatment, photograph the result, and ship the item back ready for use, reassembly, or refinishing.

WHAT PEOPLE SHIP TO US

If It Is Metal and It Fits in a Box, We Can Probably Clean It.

People ship us parts for all kinds of reasons. Some are restoring something valuable. Some need a component cleaned before reassembly. Some inherited a piece that has been sitting in a barn for decades. Whatever brought you here, the process is the same: send us photos, get a quote, ship the item, get it back clean.

These are the items people ship most often, but the program is not limited to these categories. If you have a metal part or component that needs cleaning and it can be shipped safely, send us photos. We will tell you if laser cleaning is the right approach.

Your Part Travels Once. It Comes Back Ready.

Send us photos of what needs cleaning. Tell us the material, the contamination type, and what the part needs to be ready for. We will tell you what the job looks like and what to expect.

COMMON QUESTIONS

What People Ask Before Shipping Their Parts

Any metal part or component that can be safely packed and shipped. The most common items are automotive parts (engine blocks, manifolds, brackets, hardware), cast iron cookware (skillets, Dutch ovens, griddles), and firearms components (trigger groups, bolt carriers, barrels, handguards). But we also clean industrial parts, tools, hardware, decorative metalwork, and other items. If you are not sure, send photos and we will tell you.
Send us photos of the item along with a description of the material, the type of contamination (rust, paint, carbon, grease, etc.), and what the part needs to be ready for after cleaning (reassembly, seasoning, recoating, display, etc.). We will review the photos, confirm that laser cleaning is the right method, and provide a quote before you ship anything.
Pack the item securely with adequate cushioning to prevent movement during transit. For heavy items like engine blocks or cast iron cookware, double-box when possible and use rigid cushioning material rather than loose fill. We provide specific packing guidance based on the item type after you receive your quote. Flat rate boxes from USPS work well for many smaller parts and hardware.
Turnaround depends on the item and the scope of work. Most small to mid-size items are cleaned and shipped back within five to ten business days of arrival. Larger batches or items requiring more careful parameter testing may take longer. We confirm estimated turnaround as part of your quote.
We can ship cleaned items to any address you specify. Some customers have parts shipped directly to a powder coater, machine shop, or assembly facility rather than back to their own address. Let us know your preferred destination when you accept the quote.
We tell you before you ship it. That is the purpose of the photo review step. If the material, contamination type, or condition of the item makes laser cleaning a poor fit, we will say so and explain why. We do not accept items we cannot clean effectively.

Shipping parts for professional laser cleaning eliminates the compromises that come with local alternatives. Sandblasting shops embed abrasive media in threads, ports, and surface pores. Chemical stripping involves long soak times and often leaves residue in joints and seams that interferes with reassembly or recoating. Wire wheels and grinding remove base material along with contamination, altering dimensions and surface finish. Laser cleaning removes the contamination without contacting the base metal. No media embeds in the surface. No chemical residue remains. No base material is lost. The process works on rust, paint, carbon, grease, old coatings, and most surface contamination across steel, cast iron, aluminum, copper, brass, and other metals. For parts and components where preserving the original material matters, shipping to a laser cleaning specialist often produces a better result than any method available locally, and the part returns ready for its next step.
